The beginner’s hoya – fast-growing, fast-flowering and easy to grow.
Beautiful large oval-shaped leaves with some splash, up to 11cm x 6cm. Foliage will become beautifully red when grown in bright light, and display prominent venation.
Blooms: Reflexed, cream-coloured flowers measuring up to 10mm with pale lemon-centred white corona. Up to 30 flowers per umbel. Strong, sweet fragrance. Flowers easily. Flowers last up to 7 days.
Sun exposure: Bright indirect light.
Water requirement: Prefers well-drained loose mix. Water less in winter.
Maintenance:Â Low. Fertilise in growing period.
Special note: IML 1336. WAOL permitted. Recently reclassified as H. verticillata (Thailand) IML 1336. Intermediate hoya: best suited to temperatures between 15-35C.
