Stunning flowers!Â
A twining hoya with thin, firm leaves in a grey/green colour, measuring up to 12cm x 3.5cm. Clear sap. Foliage is slightly curved and heavily speckled.Â
Blooms: Unique flowers whereby corolla lobes are long and thin, giving a starfish appearance, in tones of white-pink, measuring 20mm across with a purple-centred yellow corona. Up to 20 flowers per umbel. Fragrant. Last for up to 3 days.
Sun exposure: Medium to bright indirect light with high humidity.
Water requirement: Prefers well-draining open mix. Water less in winter.
Maintenance:Â Low. Half strength doses of fertiliser in growing period.
Special note: Intermediate hoya: best suited to temperatures between 15-35C. Originally collected by Dr Ruth Kiew from a limestone outcrop in Sabah, Malaysia.
